Silo City
Restaurants
Ballyhoo
Vibe: cheery, old-fashioned
This tavern is known for refined jam cocktails, house-made sausages, mac & cheese, and rotating craft beers
Resurgence Brewery Chicago Street
Vibe: Rustic, Casual
Great spot with an enclosed patio for beer tasting and private event space upstairs
Duende
Vibe: Trendy, Industrial
Cuisine: American, small bites
Its design was “inspired by its unique location at Silo City: from the manufacturing legacy to the ever-growing urban gardens. Using materials salvaged from the silos, Duende features a unique handcrafted bar and rugged industrial design.” You can find live music there regularly too.
Shuck Shack
Vibe: Trendy, Casual, Cheery
Cuisine: Fresh Seafood
This is my second favorite in Silo City. It popped up this past summer 2020. Not to be underestimated, this food truck located on Ohio Street’s waterfront serves the freshest seafood in the area, including oysters and lobster rolls (burgers and ahi tuna available for the non-shellfish folks) Expect pop-up lobster boils throughout the warmest months of the year – an experience not to be missed.
